STEP ONE
Pick the formation that best fits the crystal you've chosen
There is Three parts to this step Below
Part A - Begin
Part B - Pick your Main Termination Formation
Part C - Journal
Part ABefore you begin, take a moment to hold your crystal and simply look at its termination — the very tip, or “head,” of the crystal. This is where its Main Termination Formation reveals itself.
Move slowly through the photos below and allow yourself to compare your crystal’s main face and geometry with the examples shown. There is no need to rush. This part of the journey is meant to be a quiet meditation, a soft awakening between you and your crystal. Let your eyes trace the edges, the angles, the shapes that nature carved with intention. When you believe you’ve found a match — especially if you think it may be a Channeling crystal — pause and look again. Some formations are similar but carry very different meanings. A Channeling crystal and a true DOW (pronounced “Dow”) crystal can look alike at first glance, so give yourself the gift of time, patience, and presence. Let the formation reveal itself to you rather than forcing a decision. This is not just identification. It is the beginning of your dialogue with the crystal — a step into clarity, intuition, and deeper self-understanding. Take your time. Breathe. Notice. Before moving on, pause and open your journal. This is where your journey begins. Write today’s date. Then take a breath, soften your shoulders, and let yourself land fully in this moment. Begin by noting how you feel — not how you should feel, but how you honestly are. Write down any questions stirring inside you, any curiosities, any hopes for what this course might reveal. Look at your life as it is right now: What is shifting? What is uncertain? What is calling for clarity or healing? Let these reflections flow onto the page. Now, pick up your crystal. Hold it gently, as if greeting an old friend you are just beginning to truly see. Sketch it in your journal — not with perfection, but with presence. No artistry required; this is simply a way of anchoring your connection. Make note of anything you feel when you hold it: warmth, calm, electricity, curiosity, nothing at all — every sensation is a beginning. Next, look closely at the termination, the very tip of the crystal. Try to draw its shape as best you can. This simple act of attention strengthens your bond and sharpens your intuition. When you’re ready, return to the photos below. Move slowly. Compare the angles, faces, and lines. Let your intuition guide you to the primary formation that matches your crystal. This is not a test — it is a conversation between you and the stone. Take your time. Let discovery unfold. This moment sets the foundation for everything that comes next. Before you go any further, pause with your crystal and your journal. Now that you’ve identified your primary face formation, take a moment to write down everything in the description that resonated with you. Anything that felt true, familiar, exciting, or emotional—capture it. These are the threads of your inner story beginning to reveal themselves. Then, write down anything that didn’t resonate or that you’re unsure about. Don’t judge it, don’t force it, and don’t try to make it fit. Simply note it as a “secondary” or “not right now” experience. These pieces often make sense later in the journey, once more of your crystal profile has been revealed. Journal your thoughts, your feelings, your questions, your reactions—all of it. Your crystal is beginning to speak, and your journal is where the conversation becomes real. Journaling helps you capture the feelings and thoughts you’re having in this exact moment. We often think we’ll remember later—but we don’t, or it doesn’t feel as clear or alive as it did while we were experiencing it. So take your time with this part in every single step, before you move on. Write down as much as you can: what resonated, what didn’t, what stirred something inside you. Once you feel you’ve gathered everything you can for now, then move on to the next step. And most of all—enjoy it. Enjoy the process of discovering yourself through your crystal. |
PArt BMain Termination Formations* If you've noticed your crystal has a Channeling face, make sure it is not a Dow Crystal. If it turns out to be a Dow that is the Main Termination, you'll work with for this method.
* If you've chosen a Generator Crystal, begin your Secondary Outer Formation review by determining whether the crystal carries the Scepter form. After you’ve identified this, continue exploring and noting the remaining Secondary Formations.
Part CYour Main Termination… Time to Get Out That JournalNow that you’ve discovered your crystal’s main termination — its Primary Signature and Primary Personality Mapping Trait — take a moment to settle in with your journal.
This is where the conversation with your crystal truly begins. Start by writing down everything you noticed, everything you felt, and everything that stirred inside you as you recognized this formation. Copy the description word for word if you’d like — or just the parts that resonate. Ask yourself:
Don’t filter yourself, and don’t dismiss the things that seem strange, foreign, or out of place. Often, those are the moments of truth. Let your words spill freely. Look Again — With Soft EyesNow, turn back to the termination. Look at it the way you would look at someone you’re meeting for the very first time — and yet already feel strangely connected to. Study its angles, its symmetry, its presence, its soul. What you’re seeking here is the crystal’s personality — its way of being in the world, and with you. Your crystal already knows you like a long-lost friend. This is your moment to begin knowing it. Ask yourself:
that may very well be your crystal communicating with you. Write everything down. Sketch it. Record your voice. Capture it in any form that feels natural. Do Not Rush This StepThis is the beginning of your relationship with your crystal -- the moment where recognition becomes understanding, where connection becomes friendship. Take your time. Sink into it. Let this become a ritual, not a task. Your journal is the container for whatever arises:
When you feel you’ve expressed everything that wants to be said in this moment, gently close your journal. Take a breath. Hold your crystal once more. Sit in stillness, in prayer, in song, in wonder — whatever feels right. You’ve just taken your first true step into this crystal’s story… and, more importantly, into the story it has been waiting to tell you about yourself. |
