That’s what keeps me inspired. The people. The conversations. Watching neighborhood kids grow and start their own families. The small businesses that know your name.  I love this area — its people, its history, and its heart — a place that reminds us what really matters in life, family and community. It’s home in every sense of the word. But Factoryville is more than a dot on the map — it’s a family to me. ​
There’s something special about life here in Northeastern Pennsylvania — something you can’t quite put into words until you’ve felt it. It’s in the way people wave as you drive by. The way a neighbor shows up with a shovel before the snow even stops falling. The way a small town like Factoryville still feels like home, no matter how much the world around it changes.

Driving through these hills, I’m reminded every day how lucky we are to live here. You can’t buy the kind of peace that comes from familiar faces, honest work, and a shared sense of pride in where you’re from. It’s the kind of place where roots grow deep — and where community still means something.

I will work closely with Keystone College to ensure we’re using one of our community’s greatest assets to its fullest potential. Together, we can inspire the college population to get involved in Factoryville life and strengthen the connection between campus and community. I’ll also work with state and local leaders to bring a Christy Mathewson Museum to Factoryville — celebrating our heritage and creating new opportunities for tourism and pride.

Meet Lou Jasikoff — Candidate for Mayor of Factoryville

For more than two decades, Lou Jasikoff has proudly called Factoryville home. A dedicated community leader, small business advocate, and neighbor who cares deeply about the people who make this town special, Lou has spent years turning ideas into action.

  • Named Factoryville’s Man of the Year in 2019 by the Factoryville Women’s Civic League, Lou has a long record of community involvement.
  • He chaired Christy Mathewson Day for several years, helping celebrate Factoryville’s history and hometown pride.
  • He also introduced the now-familiar “Slow Down — Your Kids Live Here” signs, raising awareness about safe driving and protecting our families.

Lou Jasikoff believes Factoryville thrives when the entire community works together — residents, local businesses, students, and civic leaders alike. His vision includes strengthening partnerships with 

​Keystone College, attracting new small businesses, and seeking out state and federal grant opportunities to improve infrastructure, beautify downtown, and enhance local quality of life.
Above all, Lou wants to make Factoryville a place where everyone feels included, respected, and heard — a town that honors its past while building a vibrant future. Lou’s campaign is built on one clear message: everyone’s voice matters. ​​​
